Leadership Assessment & Executive Coaching
Leaders are often so busy that they lack the time to build self-awareness and gather much-needed feedback from direct reports, peers, and their manager. Burroughs Consulting provides a menu of assessments which will give the individual leader a snapshot of who they are, how they may appear to others, and use that insight to build a Leadership Development Plan. At Burroughs, we utilize a variety of assessments based upon the development goals of each leader, e.g., the Myers-Briggs, DiSC, and EQ assessments. We also use the 360-degree assessment provided by the leader’s organization if one is available. We also use a whole battery of assessments through a partnership with Profiles International who provide an excellent 360 along with assessments for selection and interviewing of leaders and other job functions.
Assessments can help launch the development journey. However, most leaders also need one-on-one support from an executive coach. The goals of executive coaching vary, depending on the needs of the individual and the organization. Most often, the executive wishes to optimize his or her strengths, minimize weaknesses, and achieve maximum results. Executive coaching is a confidential relationship for the benefit of the individual, but with the ultimate welfare of the organization in mind.
